I have spent the better part of my life living on the Mornington Peninsula, located in Victoria, Australia and have always had a passion for art.
I have a wide range of influences from Renaissance Art to Contemporary Art, but my main passion is Cartooning. I draw inspiration from such artists as Robert McKimson (Creator of Looney Tunes Cartoons), Michael Leunig and Mark Knight (Newspaper Cartoonists).
In 2005 I completed a Diploma of Arts - Visual Arts, with a major in Painting and minor in Printmaking.
Recently I have drawn great inspiration from the artworks by the Master of inventions and anatomy, Leonardo da Vinci.
With the extravagant religious imagery and his magnificent photo-like portraiture, my most recent oil paintings have been influenced from these pieces.
Also the likes of Claude Monet & Vincent van Gogh have been of great influence with their techniques.
I'm currently working on a serious of paintings expressing my thoughts and feelings regarding an event in my life.
This is a series of pieces about the journey I have gone through with my health, and to a new beginning.
I have a new look on life and through my next few pieces this is my journey. Enjoy.
2008 will focus on my development of portraits and beachscapes of the Mornington Peninsula.
Contemporary fine art gallery established 1984, located in Chelsea , New York art galleries district. The public is invited to the gallery art openings receptions. Sponsor of the Chelsea International Fine Art Competition and publisher of ARTisSpectrum magazine. Painters, sculptors and photographers are welcome to submit their portfolios for review.
